Football Advances in Polls After Thrilling Win

BATON ROUGE -- After its thrilling comeback victory in Tiger Stadium on Friday afternoon and a shake-up among Top 25 during the final week of the regular season, the LSU football team advanced to No. 14  in the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll, and No. 15 in the BCS Standings released Sunday.

LSU (9-3, 5-3 SEC), which finished third behind Auburn and Alabama in the always difficult SEC Western Division, will learn its postseason bowl destination on Sunday, Dec. 8, following the conference championship games.
