Ferguson Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week

BATON ROUGE -- LSU's Ego Ferguson was honored as the Southeastern Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday morning by the league office.

Ferguson, a 6-foot-3, 309-pound defensive tackle from Miami, had a career-best eight tackles along with a sack and another assisted tackle for loss in the Tigers' 45-13 victory over Kent State.

LSU will play its third-straight home contest this Saturday when Auburn comes to Tiger Stadium for a 6:45 p.m. CT kickoff. The game will be televised by ESPN and broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network beginning at 4:45 p.m.
