BATON ROUGE - LSU will play its home finale on Saturday as the eighth-ranked Tigers will look to enhance their already impressive bowl resume against Ole Miss here in what will be Senior Day in Tiger Stadium.

Kickoff between the Tigers and Rebels is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. with the game being televised nationally on CBS with Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Tracy Wolfson on the call. The game can also be heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network and on the internet in the GeauxZone with Jim Hawthorne, Doug Moreau and Gordy Rush calling the action.

LSU, which is ranked No. 7 in this week's Bowl Championship Series standings, brings an 8-2 overall mark and a 4-2 Southeastern Conference record into the game as the Tigers have won 23 of their last 24 games in Tiger Stadium.

Ole Miss, under first-year coach Hugh Freeze, is 5-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play as the Rebels are just one win shy of becoming bowl-eligible for the first time since the 2009 season.

LSU At the Game programs are available on campus three hours prior to game time and online while supplies last.

Last year, LSU beat Ole Miss, 52-3, in Oxford in what was the most lopsided score in the series.

LSU will honor its 15 seniors during a pre-game ceremony. Some of the accomplishments of this year's senior class include: 12th consecutive group of seniors dating back to 2003 to either win a national title or a SEC title; averaged 10 wins a season; first 13-0 regular season team in school history in 2011; first 8-0 SEC record in school history in 2011; set an LSU record by winning 22 straight games in Tiger Stadium.

"This is special group of seniors," LSU coach Les Miles said. "They have been part of some tremendous accomplishments during their time with the program. They have carried on a proud tradition here at LSU and been great representatives both on and off the field. It's been a privilege to have been their coach."

The list of seniors includes nine scholarship players and six walkons. All nine of the scholarship players have started at least one game in their career with the Tigers.

The list of LSU seniors include: defensive end Chancey Aghayere, placekicker Drew Alleman, tight end Chase Clement, defensive tackle Josh Downs, defensive tackle Cleveland Davis, center Ben Domingue, safety Rocky Duplessis, offensive tackle Josh Dworaczyk, defensive end Lavar Edwards, linebacker Edwin Johnson, center P.J. Lonergan, linebacker Nick Rice, fullback Jason Slaydon, wide receiver Russell Shepard, and wide receiver Tabari Williams.

The Tigers will look to continue their recent offensive surge against Ole Miss as LSU has played some of its best football over the past two weeks. In games against Alabama and Mississippi State, quarterback Zach Mettenberger has completed 43 of 65 passes for 571 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Mettenberger has thrown 110 straight passes without an interception and he's directed an LSU offense that has converted 19 of its last 35 third-down attempts.

For the year, Mettenberger has thrown for 1,990 yards and 10 touchdowns with just four interceptions.

Mettenberger's top targets have been sophomores Jarvis Landry (40 rec., 401 yards, 3 TDs) and Odell Beckham Jr. (34 rec., 548 yards, 2 TDs). Junior Kadron Boone leads the Tigers with four receiving touchdowns.

LSU's running game has helped carry the offense for most of the year as the Tigers have seven 100-yard rushing games with true freshman Jeremy Hill leading the way with three of them. Hill leads the Tigers with 477 yards and six touchdowns as he's moved to the top of the depth chart at the position.

Other top rushers for LSU include Kenny Hilliard (449 yards, 6 TDs), Michael Ford (375 yards, 3 TDs) and Spencer Ware (281 yards).

Offensively, the Tigers are averaging 30.2 points and 391.3 total yards (192.5 rushing, 198.8 passing per game). LSU goes into the Ole Miss game having gone three straight contests without a turnover. LSU's last offensive turnover came in the first quarter against South Carolina. Since then, LSU has gone 46 offensive possessions and 284 plays (174 rushes, 110 passes) without a turnover.

Defensively, the Tigers will have to contend with an Ole Miss offense that looks like a combination of Oregon and Auburn from two years ago as the Rebels spread the field and go with a fast-paced tempo.

Quarterback Bo Wallace is coming off a career-best 405 passing yards last week in the loss to Vanderbilt. For the year, Wallace has tossed for 2,239 yards and 12 touchdowns. When the Rebels turn to the run, junior Jeff Scott leads the team with 680 yards and six touchdowns.

The Rebels will face an LSU defense that is ranked among the top 10 in the nation in eight categories, including a No. 3 ranking in total defense (262.9 yards per game) and pass defense (165.7 yards per game). The Tigers are allowing just 97.2 rushing yards per game (7th in the nation) and they are giving up only 15.5 points a contest (10th in the nation).

Linebacker Kevin Minter continue to lead the Tigers in tackles with 90, while defensive end Sam Montgomery is tops on the team and among the SEC in leaders in both tackles for loss (11.0) and sacks (6.0).

After Saturday, the Tigers close out the regular season next Friday against Arkansas in Fayetteville. Next week's game will be the first for LSU in Fayetteville since the 1992 season as the teams have played every other year in Little Rock.
