BATON ROUGE - Head coach Les Miles and the LSU football team are inviting the LSU student body to football practice next Thursday, March 29, as the Tigers will host "LSU Student Appreciation Day" at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.
LSU students will be able to watch football practice from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a meet and greet with the players and coaches after practice. To be admitted to practice, students must present their LSU ID at the entrance of the practice facility.
"We have the best student section in college football," Miles said. "This is just a small way of saying thanks to our student body for their continued support and helping make Tiger Stadium the best place to play in college football."
When coming to practice next Thursday, students should park in the lot in front of the LSU soccer stadium and enter the practice facility through gates located on the northwest corner of the complex, which is the corner located closest to the vet school.
The Tigers have six practices remaining this spring, including the National L-Club Spring Game at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 in Tiger Stadium. LSU will celebrate its 2011 Southeastern Conference Championship prior to kickoff next Saturday with a ceremony. Admission to the spring game is free.
