BATON ROUGE – It’s been nearly a month since a football game has been played in Tiger Stadium and with the largest crowd of the season expected on Saturday for the Texas A&M contest, LSU officials have issued the following reminders for fans coming to campus this weekend:

Tiger Stadium Bag Policy and Prohibited Items | More Info
The Tiger Stadium Bag Policy restricts bags larger than 8.5” x 11” from being allowed into the stadium and backpacks are strictly prohibited. Fans are encouraged to travel light when leaving their tailgate and to only bring essential items with them to the stadium.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed to be brought in to the stadium and Louisiana law prohibits smoking in Tiger Stadium.

Bring a poncho as a chance of rain is in the forecast for Saturday. Umbrellas are not allowed in Tiger Stadium.

Parking/Traffic Updates @LSUsports | 2013 Fan Guide

Tiger Stadium Access and Entry | In-Stadium Policies
Please arrive early – gates open at 11:30 a.m. for suites and club, 11:45 a.m. for students, and noon for all other gates. We are anticipating heavy traffic at the entry gates to the stadium. Arrive early and enjoy the band and other pre-game activities inside Tiger Stadium.

NOTE about West Stadium entrances:
If your tickets read gates “1-3” or “4-6” - you may use any of the west side gates for entrance (Gates 1-6).  Please move to the open lanes for the quickest stadium entry.

Parking | Parking Map
Weather permitting, an additional 800 free parking spaces will be available this weekend as the Athletic Department and LSU Golf Course have teamed up to allow vehicle parking on the driving range at the LSU Golf Course. The new free parking lot entrance is located next to the LSU Golf Course, which is across the street from Alex Box Stadium off of Gourrier Avenue.

LSU will also offer another 350 free parking spaces at a lot located next to the LSU Golf Course. The free parking lot is located off of Gourrier Avenue next to the LSU Golf Course and across the street from Alex Box Stadium.  Parking in this new grass lot is on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be accessed by turning onto Gourrier Avenue from either Nicholson Drive or River Road.

Free parking is also available in the Levee and Hayfield Lots. In an effort to maximize the space in the Levee and Hayfield Lots, LSU will have parking attendants on hand to assist drivers to a parking spot. Fans will have the option of parking close to the entrance of the lot or closer to the stadium. Fans will not be able to choose their specific space when parking in either of these free lots.

Fans are also reminded that individual game parking for cars is available at the new Union Square Parking Garage, which is located on East Campus Drive across from the Student Union. Passes for the parking garage can be purchased for $40 in advance at www.LSUtix.net or as you enter the garage.

In addition, parking permits for Lot 409 at Alex Stadium are available for individual game purchase. Prices for Lot 409 at Alex Box Stadium range from $40-$80 per game. Parking passes for Lot 409 at Alex Box Stadium can be purchased in advance through www.LSUtix.net.

Parking Permit Checkpoints | Parking Map
LSU reminds fans that campus traffic is restricted to parking permit holders only beginning at least 3 hours prior to kickoff.  For the Texas A&M game, this restriction time is anticipated to occur earlier in the day. We ask permit holders to display their permit on the rearview mirror at these checkpoint locations to allow law enforcement officials to easily and quickly identify the permit. There are 14 parking permit checkpoint locations across campus. Check www.LSUsports.net/fbparking for these locations.

New Travel Lanes On Burbank
Fans need to be aware that Burbank Drive, between Nicholson Drive and Burbank Commons Apartments, has been restriped to add a center turn lane. The new configuration will have a 10-foot outside lane and a 9-foot inside lane on each side with a new 10-foot center turn lane. Fans are asked to use caution when traveling through the new configuration.

Special Events
LSU Salutes will take place on the Parade Grounds from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday. Please understand any delays when arriving to this portion of campus at that time. LSU Salutes recognizes and honors those who served with distinction in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, along with special guests, including all veterans and former and current cadets.

For more information on LSU football and game day questions regarding parking, in-stadium policies, and tickets, visit www.LSUsports.net/gameday.

Kickoff for the LSU-Texas A&M game is set for 2:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on CBS.
