BATON ROUGE - Before heading to Atlanta to prepare for next week's Chick-fil-A Bowl, LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo assisted the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank leading into the holidays.

Albertsons, LLC donated 363 turkeys to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank as part of "Touchdowns for Turkeys," an Albertsons program that donates a turkey for every point the LSU football team scores in the regular season. As a result, 363 local families in need received a turkey for their holiday meals.

The West Monroe native packed and helped load up the meals that went to the food bank. Some of the food provided in the meals came from canned goods collected at LSU's Halloween BOOzar event.

LSU will meet No. 14 Clemson on New Year's Eve at 6:30 p.m. CT inside the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will be televised unopposed on ESPN. Both teams enter the game with identical 10-2 records as LSU will be looking for its sixth season of at least 11 wins under head coach Les Miles.
