Half-Priced Tickets Available for 'Big Monday'

BATON ROUGE - Fans can purchase half-priced tickets for the ESPN2 "Big Monday" matchup that features the LSU women's basketball team hosting nationally-ranked Texas A&M in the "Gold Game" on February 4 at 8 p.m. CT in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The annual "Gold Game" will feature a giveaway of 2,000 gold Lady Tiger basketball t-shirts.

General admission tickets are half off and cost $3 for adults and $1.50 for youth, ages 12 and under. Reserved tickets are now only $5 (lower) and $4 (middle). The contest will also serve as a student priority point game for current LSU students. LSU students are admitted into the arena free of charge with a valid LSU ID.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.LSUtix.net, by phone at (225) 578-2184 or in person on the first floor of the LSU Athletic Administration Building between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. On gameday, tickets are available for purchase at 7 p.m. at the Maravich Center box office.

LSU is hosting its first ESPN2 "Big Monday" matchup since Feb. 25, 2008 against top-ranked Connecticut. It's also the first meeting between the Lady Tigers and Texas A&M in Baton Rouge since Dec. 29, 1993.

In addition, LSU and the Maravich Center is playing host to the 2013 NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds for the second straight year. First round games will be played on Sunday, March 24, while the second round contest is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26. All-session ticket books for the NCAA Tournament are now available at www.LSUtix.net.

The Lady Tigers are coming off a 59-55 win at Auburn on Thursday night, which brought their record to 13-8 overall and 4-4 in Southeastern Conference play.
