BATON ROUGE – The No. 24 LSU men’s tennis team opens it’s 16th season under head coach Jeff Brown on Monday against Southern Miss.
First serve is set for 1 p.m. CT in W.T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium, and admission is free.
The Tigers will face a tough challenge in Southern Miss, according to Brown.
“They’re an improved team,” he said. “They were pretty solid last year and they’ve gotten better. They will be a challenge for us for an opening match and we look forward to competing against them.”
The Tigers completed last season with a 15-11 record, and the Golden Eagles finished with a 9-15 record.
“The team has been very focused, they’ve been working very hard, and they have a real good attitude going into the match,” head coach Jeff Brown said. “They’re eager to compete and get the season underway.”
