FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The LSU men’s tennis team closes out its regular season schedule at Arkansas on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Billingsley Tennis Center.
“We are building off of Wednesday’s good play against Tulane,” said head coach Jeff Brown. “Arkansas has a win over Florida and they have won the doubles point regularly, so we expect another typical SEC match.”
LSU (12-12, 2-9 SEC) leads the series with Arkansas 25-4, including a 4-1 Tiger win in 2013 at Dub Robinson Stadium. LSU is coming off of a 4-0 victory at Tulane on Wednesday evening.
In the doubles rankings for LSU, junior Chris Simpson and sophomore Boris Arias are No. 33 and sophomore Tam Trinh and redshirt freshman Eric Perez are No. 63. Simpson is No. 81 in singles. Arkansas has the No. 53 doubles team in Manfred Jeske and Mike Nott. All 13 SEC men’s tennis teams are ranked in the current ITA team rankings.
