Soccer Suspends Friday Match at No. 20 UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. – Following Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s declaration late Thursday night for all public universities in the state to focus on storm preparation ahead of Hurricane Irma making landfall, LSU Soccer’s previously-scheduled match at No. 20-ranked Central Florida on Friday at 1 p.m. CT has been suspended.

LSU (5-0) and Central Florida (4-1) will work together to reschedule the match for later in the season, if possible. Check back with for further schedule updates when available.

The Tigers will now turn their attention to defending Big South Conference Champion Liberty University as they welcome the Flames to Baton Rouge on Sunday night at 6 p.m. CT to open up a three-match homestand. They follow with matches against Cincinnati on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT and Vanderbilt on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 4 p.m. CT in their Southeastern Conference opener scheduled to air on the SEC Network.
