BATON ROUGE -- As a way to build competitiveness, the LSU softball team has introduced a new team bonding exercise that will follow the players throughout their entire Tiger careers.

The team has been set up into four different "Tiger Teams" - Bayou Bombshells, Le Tigre, Purple Peacocks and TNT - and the players on these teams will remain throughout their entire softball careers. The first task was set up their team names and they will participate in various other softball and non-softball related competitions throughout the year.

During these competitions throughout the year, the athletes will earn points for their teams. Recently, each team had to design a t-shirt to represent their specific team name. The team with the most points at the end of the year will be named the "Tiger Team" Champions.

Members of the Bayou Bombshells include senior Emily Turner, juniors Dee Dee Henderson and Shannon Stein, and freshmen Lindsey Hope and Rachel Mitchell. Le Tigre includes senior Kristen Hobbs, junior Erika Sluss, sophomores Dani Hofer and Tayl'r Hollis, and freshman Stacey Woods.

Member of the Purple Peacocks are senior Leslie Klein, juniors Quinlan Duhon, Megan Jolly and Andrea Smith and freshman Cody Trahan. TNT includes juniors Tiffany Garcia, Killian Roessner, Vanessa Soto and freshman Jazmine Jackson.
