BATON ROUGE -- ESPN announced on Sunday that its College GameDay show will originate from Gainesville on Saturday for the LSU-Florida game.

The LSU-Florida contest is college football’s highest-ranked matchup on Saturday. The game features host and fifth-ranked Florida and ninth-ranked LSU. Florida goes into the game with a 5-0 overall mark and a 3-0 conference record, while the Tigers are 4-1 overall and 1-1 in Southeastern Conference action.

The last time LSU was involved in a game with College GameDay on site was a year ago when the Tigers knocked off previously unbeaten and third-ranked Alabama in Tuscaloosa by a 16-13 count.

Since 1993, College GameDay has been television's definitive and comprehensive college football studio show and has traveled most weeks on college Saturday's to the day's big game and has been met by large and enthusiastic crowds. The two-hour program with host Chris Fowler and analysts Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit airs live on ESPN each Saturday at 10 a.m. The show covers all college football angles, issues and game previews.
