South Bend, Ind. – David Toms played a solid four rounds at the 2019 U.S. Senior Open at the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame, but he was unable to defend his 2018 title as he finished in a tie for second place with a four-round tally of 13-under 267 (62-67-70-68) on Sunday. Steve Stricker was the victor with a 19-under 261.

“I felt good about the way I played this week,” Toms said in an interview with FOX following his round on Sunday. “It was very difficult to get the ball close to the hole (referring to Sunday’s pins). The way Steve is playing, it would have had to been something special to even have a chance. I can take a lot from this week.”
