Gagne Helps Team International Win Arnold Palmer Cup

Baton Rouge, La. – Luis Gagne went 2-1-1 in his four matches at the Arnold Palmer Cup over the weekend to help Team International win with 33 ½ points to Team USA’s 26 ½ points.
The Arnold Palmer Cup was hosted at the Alotian Golf Club in Roland, Arkansas. Gagne won his first match of the weekend on Friday afternoon with his teammate Ana Belac. Gagne and Belac won the mixed fourball match by a score of 4&3 over Team USA’s Quade Cummins and Ann Parmerter.
Belac and Gagne dropped their mixed foursome match to Will Gordon and Dylan Kim by a tally of 3&2 on Saturday morning. Gagne was paired up with teammate Chun An Yu in the afternoon on Saturday and the twosome took down Cole Hammer and Patrick Martin 4&3.
Gagne closed out the Arnold Palmer cup on Sunday by splitting even in his individual matchup against Team USA’s John Augustine.
Gagne recently wrapped up his collegiate career at LSU with a career-stroke average of 71.53 to rank second in school history. Gagne is off to Pebble Beach next for the 2019 U.S. Open that will take place June 13-16. It will be his first-career tournament as a professional. He is slated to tee off on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. CT with Sepp Straka and Julian Etulain. On Friday that same group will go at 2:30 p.m. CT.
