Levreault-Lopez, Zimmer Awarded CoSIDA Academic Honors
Communications Student Assistant
Baton Rouge– LSU swimmers Alarii Levreault-Lopez and Kate Zimmer have been selected to the 2018-2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 Men’s and Women’s At-Large Teams, the College Sports Information Directors of America recently announced.
“I was excited to see both Alarii and Kate’s name on the list,” said LSU head swim coach Dave Geyer. “Last year we tapped into this honor with Mitchell Petras and to now have the honor to recognize two more swimmers for their academic and athletic accomplishments is amazing. I preach to our team and our recruits that their experience here at LSU is what they make of it and there is an incredible amount of resources here to lead them to success and Alarii and Kate utilized those”
Both Levreault-Lopez and Zimmer graduated just a week ago. Levreault-Lopez graduated with 4.045 grade point average and a degree in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Geology while Zimmer graduated with a 4.06 grade point average and a degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences with a minor in Agriculture.
Levreault-Lopez finished his senior year out strong by winning the ‘C’ Final in the 200-Yard Butterfly at the 2019 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships. Outside of the pool, Levreault-Lopez was named to the Tiger Twelve Class of 2019, a group of 12 seniors who contribute positively to the life of the campus and surrounding community.
