Softball Moves to No. 5 in ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll

BATON ROUGE –The LSU softball team remains in the Top 10 of the national polls this week, staying at No. 8 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Coaches Poll and moving to No. 5 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.  

LSU has been ranked every week since the end of the 2014 season. The Tigers earned a total of 589 points in the NFCA poll. In the ESPN/USA Softball poll, the Tigers picked up 414 points. The last time the Tigers were No. 5 in the ESPN/USA softball polls was preseason of 2017. The last time they were No. 5 during the regular season was 2016.

The Tigers play at home Wednesday, playing host to Nicholls St. at 6 p.m. inside Tiger Park. They take on South Carolina in Tiger Park Friday through Saturday.
