Bigby-Williams Named SEC Player Of The Week

BATON ROUGE – The Southeastern Conference named LSU senior forward Kavell Bigby-Williams its SEC Player of the Week for his performance in LSU’s wins last week at Ole Miss and at home versus South Carolina.
The native of London, England averaged 13 points, 10.5 rebounds and had 6 blocks in wins over No. 18 Ole Miss and South Carolina. He made 71.4 percent (10-of-14) of his field goals and 75.0 percent (6-of-8) of his free throws.
Bigby-Williams started the week with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks and a steal in the 83-69 win at No. 18 Ole Miss. He posted his first back-to-back double figure scoring games and his first back-to-back double double in Saturday’s 89-67 win over South Carolina. He had 12 points and 11 rebounds against the Gamecocks.
Bigby-Williams is averaging 7.5 points and 5.4 rebounds for the season and has increased those numbers to 10.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in the four SEC games.
