Volleyball Faces Arkansas on the Road

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After picking up its third-straight victory on Wednesday evening, the LSU volleyball team (10-14, 5-8 SEC) will look to continue its winning momentum into Sunday as the Tigers travel to Arkansas (11-12, 5-8 SEC). First serve is set for 1 p.m. CT.

>> Head coach Fran Flory is in her 21st season at the helm of the LSU volleyball program. The winningest coach in school history, Flory has led the Tigers to NCAA Tournament appearances in nine of the last 13 seasons.
>> LSU earned its third-straight victory on Wednesday, a five-set win over Ole Miss.
>> Taylor Bannister led the Tigers with 22 kills on Wednesday. The Tigers had four others in double-digit kills, which was the first time five players had 10+ kills since playing Ole Miss on Oct. 23, 2011. Toni Rodriguez (16), Whitney Foreman (12), Milan Stokes (11), Olivia Beyer (11).
>> Bannister is ranked fourth among the league in kills per set at 4.27. She is also fourth in points per set at 4.74.
>> In the last three matches, the Tigers are hitting .305 and getting 14.9 kills per set and 16.2 digs per set. Foreman is hitting .415 in the last three matches, while Rodriguez is hitting at a .357 clip.
>> Lindsay Flory and Whitney Foreman both picked up SEC Weekly honors on Monday, the first honor for both the senior and freshman. Flory dished out 87 assists combined against Mississippi State and Alabama on the weekend, including a double-double of 53 assists and 15 digs in the win over Alabama. She helped her team to one of the best offensive weekends this season, hitting .352 for the weekend.
>> Foreman had her best weekend in a Tiger uniform, hitting .444 on the weekend. She hit .526 with 13 kills in the win over Alabama and had six blocks on the weekend.
>> Cianciulli has a career total of 924 digs, just 76 digs away from 1,000 mark. If she reaches 1,000 this season, she’ll be the fastest player to reach the 1,000 dig club in program history.
>> Cianciulli ranks second among the league in digs per set at 4.67. The Tigers also rank second in the SEC in digs per set at 15.47.
>> The Tigers enter the season with a total of 294 SEC victories, just needing one more to close sin on the 300 mark after Wednesday’s victory over Ole Miss. The 300 victories would rank third among the SEC, behind Florida and Kentucky.
