Women's Tennis Advances In Oracle ITA Fall Championships

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The LSU women’s tennis team will continue to represent at the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships on Friday.
Sophomore Eden Richardson advances to the singles Round of 16 after a win over Pepperdine’s Jessica Failla on Thursday. No. 38 Richardson took the match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.  
Richardson joined senior Jessica Golovin to face off against Marie-Alexandre Leduc and Fernanda Navarro of Clemson. The No. 7 ranked doubles pair of Golovin and Richardson sent the match into a third set but were unable to secure the win, losing 6-4, 7-5, 6-10.
Richardson will square off against No. 60 Alexa Graham of North Carolina at 10 a.m. CT Friday. Quarterfinals follow after the Round of 16 at 2 p.m. CT.
