Tiger Hoops Practices Before Football Game

BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball team conducted the final portion of their Saturday practice on the main floor of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center as part of the Tiger Tailgate Party prior to the LSU-UGA football game.

A large crowd came to watch second-year Coach Will Wade conduct a spirited session that included defensive drills, a full-court drill that featured 2-on-1, 3-on-2, 4-on-3, 5-on-4 and 5-on-5 play before the whistle stopped and concluded with half-court and full-court offensive drills.

Coach Wade wore a microphone and talked to the crowd between drills inviting the fans to the opening game of the 2018-19 season on Nov. 6 against Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. as the second game of an opening doubleheader with the LSU women’s basketball team playing the opener at 5:30 p.m.
