Football Schedules Home-And-Home Against Clemson

BATON ROUGE – LSU and Clemson, two of college football’s most storied programs, have agreed to a two-game home-and-home series that will be played in 2025 and 2026, LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva announced on Wednesday.
LSU and Clemson will meet in the season-opener for both teams in 2025 and 2026 with the first contest scheduled for Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina on August 30, 2025. LSU will host Clemson in Tiger Stadium the following year on September 5.
“We have put an emphasis on bringing Power 5 teams outside of the Southeastern Conference to Tiger Stadium as often as we can,” Alleva said. “It’s what we want and most importantly it’s what our fans want.”
To date, Texas, UCLA, Clemson, Oklahoma and Arizona State are scheduled to play at Tiger Stadium over the next 10 years.
“We are working to grow that list,” said Alleva. “It’s a balance with neutral site games, and we’re very pleased with the progress we’ve made.”
Dates for other future home-and-home games for LSU include Texas in 2019 (away) and 2020 (home); UCLA in 2021 (away) and 2024 (home); Oklahoma in 2027 (away) and 2028 (home); and Arizona State in 2029 (home) and 2030 (away).
The 2025 contest will mark the first-ever regular season matchup between LSU and Clemson. The teams have met three times overall with LSU leading the series, 2-1. LSU beat Clemson, 7-0, in the 1959 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans to cap its perfect 11-0 national championship season.
The teams met again in 1996 with LSU winning, 10-7, in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Clemson won the last meeting between the teams by a 25-24 margin the 2012 Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.
