LSU gymnastics’ Sarah Finnegan started her final summer before her senior season by serving those in need.

Finnegan, the 2018 Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Year, traveled with the Paradigm group from Abundant Life in Kansas City, Missouri.

The group of young adults worked with the Pima Tribe in Arizona for a week. The group assisted on the Native American Reservation with various projects. They held a vacation bible school for kids, made food boxes for families and held community dinners.

“It was a great experience to do something outside of your comfort zone,” Finnegan said. “We were able to reach out to people who are different than us. It was a great opportunity to help people that live in the United States that you wouldn’t think need your help. It was a humbling experience and you realize how blessed you are.
