LSU is one of 60 women’s tennis programs selected by national ranking to compete across 15 regional sites in the 10th installment of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The winning team at each regional will advance to the ITA National Indoor Championships in Madison, Wisconsin.
Duke will host the Durham regional as the top seed, with second-seeded LSU and third- and fourth-seeded Washington and Fresno St. rounding out the competition.
The Tigers advanced to National Indoors for the first time in program history after winning the Georgia Tech Kick-Off regional in 2016. Last season, the Tigers swept Wake Forest before falling to Ole Miss in the final round of the Virginia Kick-Off regional.
LSU is off to a 2-0 start to the 2018 dual season after a pair of season-opening sweeps against Northwestern St. and Southern at home, jumping two spots to No. 20 in the national rankings
