BATON ROUGE - LSU redshirt freshman cornerback Andraez "Greedy" Williams has been named third team All-America by the Associated Press, the organization announced on Monday.

One of two freshmen to be named to any AP team, Williams leads the Southeastern Conference in passes defended with 15 and interceptions with five.

Williams was named second team All-SEC by the league's coaches as well as the AP. The Shreveport, Louisiana native was also named to the All-SEC freshman team by the league's coaches.

As a unit, LSU’s defense currently ranks No. 3 in the SEC in rushing yards allowed (126.4), No. 4 in points allowed (18.8) and total defense (311.7).

Williams and the Tigers close out the 2017 season against 14th-ranked Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl on January 1 in Orlando.
