BATON ROUGE – LSU women’s golf coach Karen Bahnsen announced the addition of Presley Baggett from Canton, Mississippi, to the Lady Tigers golf team.

“I have never seen a player that wanted to play for LSU more than Presley!” said Bahnsen. “Especially since she is from Mississippi!  Her enthusiasm for representing LSU and competing for championships is contagious.”

Baggett, who attends Germantown High School, is a three-time Prep All-State Girls’ Golf Team honoree (2015, 2016, 2017). She is also the 2017 Mississippi Girls Class II High School Champion, turning in rounds of 72-71.

Baggett won the 2017 Mississippi Junior Golf Association Girls Junior Championship with three scores under par 68-69-71. She participated in the Mississippi Women’s State Amateur tournament where she finished runner-up.

She claimed her third win of 2017 at the Mississippi Junior Golf Association Future Tour Champions and had a top-five placing at the Trusted Choice Big I National Championship.

“I am excited about Presley’s future as a Lady Tiger,” continued Bahnsen. “Once she is in our system I truly believe she will grow quickly!”
