BATON ROUGE – Head coach Karen Bahnsen has announced that Rivani Sihotang from Indonesia will join the LSU women's golf team this coming fall.
“Rivani will be a great addition to our team,” said Bahnsen. “She is a very solid player that will bring consistent, quality scores. She is the first player I have had on our team from Indonesia so I am excited about the international experience she brings.”
Sihotang is a solid international prospect out of Indonesia. She competed at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games where she finished in eighth place. She also participated in the 2017 Indonesia Ladies Amateur Open Championship where she finished tied for fourth.
Sihotang has been a member of the Indonesia Women’s National Team since 2014. She is also a three time Indonesia National Junior Champion (2015, 2016, 2017).
She is the number two-ranked junior in Indonesia according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
“I feel Rivani will fit in great with the rest of her class and our returning players,” continued Bahnsen. “Rivani is a great young lady and I look forward to helping her to reach her goals of winning Championships at LSU and playing professional golf one day.”
