Men's Tennis to Face Dartmouth Tuesday

BATON ROUGE. –The LSU men’s tennis team begins a three-match week with a contest against the Dartmouth Big Green Tuesday at 5 p.m. CT at the LSU Tennis Complex.

Thoughts from Coach Brown
“Dartmouth is coming off of one of their best years in school history, and a lot of those players are still in their lineup,” head coach Jeff Brown said.

“We are looking to get some momentum going into our SEC matches at Georgia and against Texas A&M at home this weekend.”

The Matchup
LSU and Dartmouth both sport a 5-9 record on the season. This match marks the first time that that Tigers will face the Big Green.

Tiger Tidbits
Jordan Daigle has a 7-4 record on court one on the dual season. Last time out against Alabama, his five match win streak was snapped. However, he remains ranked No. 47 and has tallied three wins in the past two weeks against ranked opponents.

Senior Justin Butsch is ranked No. 43 and sports a 7-3 record on court two. He has 16 wins overall the season. Butsch and Daigle are 5-4 on the season in doubles.

Nikola Samardzic notched his team-best 18th win of the season on court five against Alabama with a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 win against Spencer Richey.

Notes on the Big Green
Dartmouth has one duo in the doubles rankings. Max Fliegner and Roko Glasnovic sit at No. 68 in the ITA Rankings. 
The Big Green is coming off of a trip to Texas, falling 4-3 to Abilene Christian and dropping a 4-1 decision against No. 41 Rice.
