Women’s Tennis to Host Alabama

BATON ROUGE --- The No. 27 LSU women’s tennis team will host the No. 44 Alabama Crimson Tide at the LSU Tennis Complex Friday at 4 p.m.
Fans in attendance at Friday’s match will receive free crawfish while supplies last.
The Tigers (9-4; 2-2 SEC) currently hold a 7-1 record at home as they look to clinch another crucial SEC win against the Crimson Tide (6-8; 0-4 SEC), who are 0-4 on the road this season.
Coming off their thrilling 4-3 win over Missouri last weekend, the Tigers have positive momentum heading into Friday’s match, while Alabama has had a rough start to their conference schedule.
LSU’s third ranked player, senior Joana Valle Costa, boasts an impressive seven wins playing across courts one, two and three this season.
Alabama has two ranked players in No. 59 Erin Routliffe and No. 124 Andie Daniell.
The Crimson Tide are coached by Jenny Mainz in her 19th season with the team.
