SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The LSU women’s golf team closes out its fall schedule when it tees off Sunday in the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational at the Briggs Ranch Gold Club.
This tournament was formerly known as The Alamo and has been LSU’s closing fall event for several years on a course known for often surrendering low scores on par 72 layout playing at 6,450 yards.
The 54-hole event, which runs through Tuesday, has LSU and host Texas San Antonio against a field made up of Arkansas, Auburn, Houston, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Old Dominion, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas State and Tulane.
LSU will have its returning All-America senior Caroline Nistrup back in the lineup on Sunday after having to sit out at the last minute last week’s Lady Tar Heel. Nistrup, from Denmark, who missed most of her junior season with an injured wrist, posted a top 10 finish in her only start of the seasons.
The round will have a later start on Sunday with first tee times at 11 a.m. LSU will begin play at 11:40 a.m. CT off hole number 10.
