CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The LSU Lady Tiger golf team tees off Friday morning in its second tournament of the fall campaign at the UNC Finley Golf Course for the 41st annual Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational.

The 54-hole tournament runs through Sunday.

LSU and UNC will be in the opening wave off the front nine and they will be joined by another ACC quintet from Wake Forest. Also in the field by waves are Duke, South Carolina and Tennessee; Virginia Michigan State and the second North Carolina team; Virginia, NC State and Michigan; Arkansas, Ohio State and Rollins; and, Vanderbilt, UNCW and Louisville.

For senior Caroline Nistrup, this was to be her return to the Lady Tar Heel after last year injuring her wrist in the opening round that sidelined for the year. Now Coach Karen Bahnsen has had to remove her from the lineup even before the competition begins based on doctor’s recommendation after the senior became sick on the trip.

But in that news is the good news that LSU was allowed to bring an individual player to the tournament and Claudia De Antonio, who was in the team lineup for the opener, will move back into the five players playing for the four team scores each day.

LSU will now go with a lineup that includes De Antonio, Kathleen Gallagher, Sydney Cavin, Monica Dibildox and Lana Hodge, who will be making her season debut after qualifying for the event.

In the sixth place finish in the opener at the Schooner Fall Classic in Oklahoma, Gallagher struggled in the opening round of the year, but came back to shoot 72-71 over the final 36 holes, while Dibildox in her first college tournament posted 7-over par 220 on rounds of 73-72-75. De Antonio and Cavin were both consistent throughout on the par 71 course with rounds of 75-74-74 for De Antonio and 74-75-75 for Cavin.

Live scoring for the 54-hole event on the par-72 course will be available at through Updates during the day can be found on Twitter @LSUwomensgolf and a complete update after the round on Twitter and
