BATON ROUGE – Former LSU center Justin Hamilton will be in action when the first part of the 2014 NBA Summer League season begins Saturday with the Orlando Summer League season.
Ten teams will be taking part in the event in Orlando which will be televised by NBATV, including the Miami Heat team which will include Hamilton, who was signed by the Heat during the 2013-14 season. Hamilton averaged 3.3 points and 0.9 rebounds for the Heat this past season.
Hamilton’s Heat team will be in action early on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT against Boston and again at 6 p.m. on Sunday vs. Brooklyn. The Heat will also play at 4 p.m. on Tuesday against Detroit and conclude play on Thursday at 2 p.m. against Indiana.
Hamilton earned All-SEC honors while playing at LSU for the 2011-12 season.
The Orlando league runs through March 11, while the longer and larger Las Vegas summer league will also tip on the 11th and run through the 21st.
