Cory Couture joined LSU as an Associate Athletic Trainer in January of 2014. His primary responsibilities are to work with the Tigers' baseball and men’s golf teams. Cory also serves as the oversight for a graduate assistant that covers the LSU cheerleading team.
Prior to returning to his alma mater, Couture was a member of the Florida State University Sports Medicine staff for two years. There he worked with the FSU baseball and men’s golf teams, which included a trip to the 2012 College World Series and two NCAA Regional Championships. Before his time at Florida State, Couture worked as the Head Athletic Trainer for Loyola University New Orleans for four years.
Cory graduated from LSU in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology/athletic training. Two years later, he completed his master’s degree in sports administration at Florida State University while working as a graduate assistant with the football team.
Couture is a native of Patterson, La. He and his wife Ana were married in July of 2011.
