BATON ROUGE – The Rock n’ Roar Block Party on North Stadium Drive followed by a day-long list of sporting events, including the National L Club Spring Football Game presented by Tony Chachere’s and the NCAA Gymnastics Regional, highlight a busy first Saturday in April here next week on the LSU campus.

The day on campus starts with the Rock n’ Roar Block Party at 11 a.m. on North Stadium Drive. This free event will feature popular New Orleans band Bag of Donuts along with carnival activities for the kids. There will be a dunking booth, inflatables along with all types of food. Bag of Donuts will play from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in front of the Maravich Center.

The Rock n’ Roar Block Party will also feature giveaways from corporate partners from the LSU athletic department along with an area dedicated to the new SEC Network.

Kickoff for the National L Club Spring Game presented by Tony Chachere’s is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Tiger Stadium and admission to the game is free. The game will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and can be heard in Baton Rouge on 107.3 FM as well as in the Geaux Zone on www.LSUsports.net/live.

After the game, The Rock n’ Roar Block Party will continue on North Stadium Drive from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. At 4 p.m., the LSU gymnastics team will host the NCAA Regional Meet in the Maravich Center. Tickets for the NCAA Gymnastics meet are available at www.LSUtix.net or the day of the meet at the Maravich Center ticket office.

The LSU softball team will host Tennessee at 6 p.m. at Tiger Park, while the Tiger baseball squad will host SEC Western Division rival Mississippi State at 6:30 p.m. at Alex Box Stadium.

Fan cans also catch some of the nation’s top track and field athletes at Bernie Moore Stadium starting at 1:45 p.m. as LSU hosts the Battle on the Bayou. Admission to the track meet is free of charge.
