FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Third-ranked LSU gymnastics is set to begin a busy weekend when the Tigers travel to No. 11 Arkansas for a meet at 7 p.m. CT Friday in Barnhill Arena.

For the first time since the 2008 season, LSU (3-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) will compete twice in the same weekend during the regular season. After the meet against Arkansas, LSU will head to Norman, Okla., to face second-ranked Oklahoma for a 2 p.m. contest on Sunday.

“We had a short practice schedule this week so that we will be fresh for both meets,” LSU head coach D-D Breaux said. “We have to get better each week, so we are looking forward to getting out on the floor and competing during this road swing. It is a great opportunity for our ladies to put up some great scores and keep improving.”

LSU would like nothing better than to carry into this road swing the momentum the Tigers built last week in a 197.650-196.825 victory against Alabama.

In that meet, the Tigers posted the nation’s second-highest vault total with a 49.575 and the third-best floor score with a 49.550 as well as a season-high 49.400 on bars.

Against Arkansas, LSU will rely on a strong lineup in all four events that includes seven gymnasts ranked in the Top 25 in at least one category entering the meet.

Junior Rheagan Courville ranks second nationally in the all-around, sixth on vault, 10th on bars, 25th on beam and 16th on floor. Senior Sarie Morrison is fourth on vault and bars, while junior Jessie Jordan is fourth on beam and eighth in the all-around.

Senior Kaleigh Dickson is ninth in the all-around, Lloimincia Hall is ninth on floor, Jessica Savona is 13th on floor and Britney Ranzy is 19th on vault.

As a team, LSU ranks second on vault and floor, third on beam and seventh on bars.

Arkansas (3-2, 1-2) enters the meet ranked in the Top 15 nationally on vault (11th), beam (fifth) and floor (15th), and the Razorbacks are led by senior Katherine Grable who ranks fourth in the all-around. Like Courville, Grable has won the all-around title in all four meets this season.

Live audio of the meet will be available for free at, and Geaux Zone subscribers will be able to watch the RazorVision live video stream at
