BATON ROUGE – LSU junior gymnast Lloimincia Hall earned Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Week recognition after her outstanding performance against Alabama, the league office announced Tuesday.

No. 3 LSU defeated seventh-ranked Alabama, 197.650-196.825, on Jan. 31, and Hall played a big part in the Tigers’ victory.

The Dallas, Texas, native notched her third career perfect 10.0 score on floor in the final routine of the meet to punctuate LSU’s win, and she added a career-high tying 9.875 from the leadoff spot on beam.

Her efforts helped LSU post the fifth-best team total in school history with the 197.650, and the Tigers also finished with the nation’s third-highest floor total of the season with a 49.550.

Hall ranks second in LSU history for most 10.0s on floor, trailing only April Burkholder who recorded four perfect 10s on floor.

The floor title against Alabama marked the first of the season for Hall and the 18th of her career, and her 18 titles rank as the fourth-most in LSU career history on floor, behind Ashleigh Clare-Kearney and Burkholder with 27 and Sandra Smith’s 22 titles.

It is the third time Hall has earned SEC Specialist of the Week, and it is the sixth SEC weekly honor she has received in her career.

Hall earned specialist of the week after the Missouri and Alabama meets last season. She was named SEC Gymnast of the Week after the Florida meet last season, and she was twice named SEC Freshman of the Week after her performances against Auburn and North Carolina State in 2012.

It is the second SEC weekly honor for LSU this season after Sarie Morrison earned specialist of the week against Centenary in the season opener.

No. 3 LSU (3-1, 2-1 SEC) travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on No. 11 Arkansas at 7 p.m. CT Friday, and the Tigers turn right around and head to Norman, Okla., for a Top 5 match-up against No. 2 Oklahoma at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Live audio of both meets will be available free of charge in the Geaux Zone at
