BATON ROUGE – The LSU softball team took part in its fifth-annual ticket delivery by visiting several homes throughout the Baton Rouge community leading into Saturday’s practice session and scrimmage at Tiger Park.
“It’s so amazing to see how dedicated our fans are to the LSU softball program,” head coach Beth Torina said. “They are truly the lifeblood of our program, and what makes the atmosphere at Tiger Park second to none. Completing the season ticket delivery makes us realize how close we are to Opening Day. It's a really exciting time for everyone associated with our program.”
The Tigers are scheduled to make a delivery to LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander on Wednesday before visiting their on-campus season ticket holders on Friday. In total, LSU will have delivered to approximately 50 season ticket holders. The remainder of the season tickets has already been shipped by the LSU Ticket Office.
“It is so awesome to see how invested the fans are and to be able to see all of the memorabilia they have collected over the years,” sophomore catcher Kellsi Kloss said. “Getting to see their faces and share experiences with them is so rewarding. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
“I love meeting our fans every year,” junior outfielder A.J. Andrews said. “They are always so nice and excited. We saw some familiar faces and met some new ones. Just like we are, they are so excited for the season.”
