BATON ROUGE -- LSU Athletics has expanded its popular “Soldier Salutes” program, originated at LSU Baseball games, to include men's basketball games at the Maravich Center.

At halftime of each men's basketball Saturday Southeastern Conference game, a military man/woman will be honored for their service and commitment to their country.

The “LSU Soldier Salutes” is presented by Dow Chemical.

"Dow in Louisiana is excited to sponsor the LSU Salutes program which recognizes the courage, sacrifice and dedication of former US servicemen and women,” said Eduardo Do Val, site director for Dow Louisiana Operations. “We are grateful for their service every day, and we remain committed to their futures with Dow's military recruitment initiatives."

SEC men's basketball home games include Jan. 18 versus Vanderbilt, Feb. 1 versus Arkansas, Feb. 8 versus Auburn and March 8 versus Georgia. Soldier Salutes will be held at every weekend LSU Baseball game at Alex Box Stadium during the 2014 season.
