BATON ROUGE – The LSU swimming team had 23 of its members visit the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital earlier this week.
The student-athletes made visits to patients, going from room-to-room interacting with the children and their families. The team also gave out various LSU items and signed posters to brighten up their day.
“I think that it is important to do this because we are able to come in and give the children not only another smiling face, but some hope and uplift their spirits,” said junior Frank Greeff.
“It is a great experience for our team to do this, because these children are our fans and we want to come support them just like they come and support us,” said freshman Elliot Dewlen.
Next up, LSU men’s swimming and diving team faces SMU Thursday, at 2 p.m. Both the men and women will compete in the LSU relays against Oklahoma Baptist Saturday, at 11 a.m.
