BATON ROUGE – Fans can get into the LSU women’s basketball game against Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday for only $2 by donating a toy to the “Toys for Tots” Foundation in one of the several bins that will be located at the Maravich Center entrances.
The Lady Tigers have been actively involved in the “Toys for Tots” Foundation during Nikki Caldwell’s tenure in gathering toys for the holiday season.
In addition, fans can also get into Tuesday’s contest for $2 by wearing a Christmas sweater. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. The Maravich Center Ticket Office on the upper ramps opens at 5:30 p.m. Arena doors open at 5:30 p.m. as well.
“Santa Mike the Tiger” will be on hand taking photos on the concourse and throughout the game.
At 7-1, LSU is off to its best start since the 2009-10 season. The Lady Tigers are ranked 13th nationally and have been ranked in the Top 20 in all six weeks of the season. Caldwell’s up-tempo and explosive team is averaging 75.4 points per game. LSU boasts one of the nation’s best freshman in Raigyne Moncrief, who is averaging 14.5 points per game and a Southeastern Conference-best 3.1 steals per game.
Fans can now purchase all-session ticket books to the 2014 NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds that LSU will host on March 23 and 25. The ticket books are available for a special price of $17 until Dec. 31 at http://www.lsutix.net/.
“The Nikki Caldwell Show” presented by Capital One Bank will be held on Monday next week at 8 p.m. from TJ Ribs on Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge. The show follows “The Johnny Jones Show” which gets underway at 7 p.m. Fans are invited to come be a part of the live audience for both shows.
