BATON ROUGE – Hunter Newman and Russell Reynolds of the LSU baseball team participated last weekend in the Raven’s Outreach Center cleanup.

Raven's Outreach Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization created to provide housing for homeless veterans.

“I enjoyed giving back to the community especially to those who have served,” Reynolds said.  “I wish I could have done more for those who have made the greatest sacrifice for this country. I really enjoyed working with those who have served and those who wanted to contribute as much as I did. I really appreciate them allowing me to help out and look forward to helping out in the future.”

This project was a tribute to U.S. veterans and the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The project included improvements to the Raven's Outreach facilities. The LSU players painted the exterior of the buildings and installed beautification elements.
