BATON ROUGE – The LSU basketball programs continue down their “Road To Tipoff” with a “Student Block Party” event on the LSU campus Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m.

The event is scheduled for Tower Drive near the LSU Student Union and Free Speech Alley.

Members of both the LSU men’s and women’s basketball teams will be on hand during the two hour session handing out posters of the two teams and LSU will have its sports court on site and goal for a little practice shooting with the athletes. There will be free popcorn and drinks provided for students. Coach Johnny Jones and Nikki Caldwell will also be on hand the event.

On Wednesday, Coach Jones is inviting all LSU students out to watch the final 90 minutes of practice at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Students will be admitted to the Maravich Center at the lower Southeast Corridor doors beginning at 4:30 p.m. There will be free pizza for the students attending the practice.

All students are admitted free of charge to men’s and women’s basketball games with a valid LSU ID. Follow LSU basketball on Facebook at or on Twitter @LSUBasketball. Follow LSU women’s basketball on Facebook at or on Twitter @LSUwbkb.
