BATON ROUGE – The LSU Athletics Department and Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes will play host to its 18th-annual Halloween BOOzar event on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. leading into LSU volleyball’s match against Arkansas at the Maravich Center.
Local children will be greeted by LSU student-athletes representing every sport while they are provided a safe and fun trick-or-treating environment at the Maravich Center Plaza. Members of LSU’s coaching staff, training staff, cheerleaders, Tiger Girls and Mike the Tiger also will be in attendance.
Each team will have an activity related to their sport for children to take part in, and trick-or-treaters will be able to take pictures and get autographs from their favorite players. All student-athletes will be dressed in their best Halloween gear, so children are encouraged to wear their costumes as well.
Admission is free to both the BOOzar and the volleyball match. Attendees are asked to bring canned goods that will be donated to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Following the match, LSU volleyball will sign autographs and pass out candy.
