Doubles Pair Falls in ITA Qualifying Draw

TULSA, Okla. – The LSU men’s tennis team was represented in doubles this afternoon at the 2013 ITA All-American Championships, hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

LSU sophomore Tam Trinh and newcomer Andrew Korinek were paired together for pre-qualifying doubles and faced off against William Albanese and Diego Soto of Miami in the first round.

The LSU duo emerged victorious with an 8-3 win and squared off against Clemson’s Hunter Harrington and Dominique Maden in the second round. Trinh and Korinek’s run ended with a tightly contested 8-5 loss to Harrington and Maden.

The main draw of the ITA All-American Championships is set to begin on Thursday, October 3 with junior Chris Simpson representing the Tigers in singles.
