Caldwell to Host Banana Relay 5K on Sunday

BATON ROUGE – Head coach Nikki Caldwell and the LSU women’s basketball team will join the Club South Runners to host the Banana Relay 5K race at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 6 on the LSU campus with all proceeds raised going directly to the Lady Tiger program.

The race begins at the Maravich Center. Fans interested in participating can register a team of two now.

“This is a great opportunity for our team and staff to help promote physical fitness and healthy living,” said Caldwell. “We also want to have a fun time with our fans in this event as we near the start of the season. We hope everyone in the community can come out and participate with us.”

Club South members can pre-register for $15 per person ($30 per team), while re-registration for non-members is $20 per person ($40 per team). Registration the day of the event for everyone will be $20 per person ($40 per team).

Registration includes: participation in the run, t-shirt, running number, giveaways, awards and prizes, refreshments and light snacks following the run, after party including autograph opportunities with the team as well as a live DJ.
