BATON ROUGE – With the start of SEC action closing in, the LSU volleyball program will offer a “Friday Night Meal Deal” for the third consecutive season beginning with the Tigers SEC opener versus Georgia on Sept. 27 at the Maravich Center.
Fans already receive free admission to every home match courtesy of the Advocate’s “Geaux Free” program for the 2013 season.
LSU concessions has put together a special dinner leading into the program’s five SEC Friday matches which include Georgia (Sept. 27), Ole Miss (Oct. 11), Missouri (Oct. 25), Florida (Nov. 1) and Auburn (Nov. 15). Price of the meal is $7, fans also receive a drink and popcorn concessions coupon with their purchase.
The “Friday Night Meal Deal” will be available starting at 6 p.m. inside the Courtside Club which is located at the Northwest Corridor entrance of the arena. Fans can reserve their meals in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the quantity of meals and names. The Friday Night Meal Deal also will be available to walk-up customers, but on a cash-only basis while supplies last.
The Georgia match also is the team’s annual “Gold Match” where the first 500 fans can pick up a “Gold Digger” tank top. It also marks the first of six “Attend & Win” matches. One lucky fan will win a 32-inch television. To be eligible for “Attend and Win” prizes, fans must stay through the entire match.
“Our fans deliver a great home atmosphere,” head coach Fran Flory said. “We’re excited about the opportunity to reward them for their loyalty and their support of our program. Our team is looking forward to returning home next week and the challenges that lie ahead with SEC play.”
LSU finishes its eight match, three-weekend road swing at the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup hosted by the University of Houston. The Tigers will take on North Texas [Friday – 11 a.m.], Baylor [Friday – 4:30 p.m.] and Houston [Saturday – 11 a.m.]. All three matches will have live audio and live stats available for free inside the Geaux Zone at www.LSUsports.net/live.
