O'Bryant to Throw First Pitch on Thursday
Communications Sr. Associate
BATON ROUGE – LSU men’s basketball player Johnny O'Bryant III will have the honor of throwing out the first pitch Thursday night at Alex Box Stadium as the nationally-ranked LSU baseball team opens a three-game series with Florida.
The nationally-televised game on ESPNU will begin at just after 6:30 p.m. as the LSU-Florida is the national Thursday college baseball telecast this week.
O’Bryant III earned first-team All-SEC honors as a sophomore this past season for first-year LSU Coach Johnny Jones as the Tigers won 19 games and finished 9-9 in the league after 0-4 start. O’Bryant III was second in the league with 15 double doubles with the majority of those coming in SEC play.
Last month, O’Bryant III made LSU basketball fans happy by announcing at a press conference that he would not put his name into the NBA draft and would come back for his junior season.
