BATON ROUGE -- Thirty nine members of the LSU Swimming and Diving team participated in the Geaux BIG Baton Rouge Day by painting a playground at a local elementary school.

The mission of Geaux BIG Baton Rouge is to unite LSU students with Baton Rouge residents through service in order to build a positive relationship in which students express appreciation for the support of the community.

Geaux BIG Baton Rouge is LSU’s largest community service day. Projects included painting houses, cleaning and yard work. The event serviced over 100 project sites.

“I like how the team was able to come together outside of the pool,” sophomore Jennifer Reese said. “We enjoyed working together to better the community.”
