Women's Golf Ties for Sixth to End Regular Season

OXFORD, Miss. – The LSU women’ s golf team completed its regular season with a tie for sixth place finish in the Rebel Intercollegiate Sunday at the Ole Miss Golf Course.

LSU posted a 15-over 303 on the final day of competition in the 54-hole event and finished at 24-over par 888 (291-294-303), tying with Mississippi State.

Coastal Carolina went wire-to-wire to win the event with a 1-under par 863 (284-289-290) to win by nine shots over Baylor (289-293-290) at eight-over 872. Tulane finished third at 878, followed by East Tennessee State (881) and Kentucky (886) in front of LSU.

For the second straight day, the low round came from freshman Nadine Dreher with a 2-over 74 that left her at one-over for the final 36 holes. She finished in a tie for 16th at five over par 221 (76-71-74), moving up some 25 spots from the first round to the end of the tournament. She tied with junior Lindsay Gahm at 221 (71-73-77).

LSU would also count 4-over 76s from Ali Lucas and Elisa Bradley on the final day, while Madelene Sagstrom posted 78. Sagstrom and Bradley tied for 28th at eight-over 224.

Playing as an individual LSU senior Katrina Hegge shot 75. The individual competition was won by Coastal Carolina’s Jessica Alexander at 8-under 208 (70-67-71).
