STARKVILLE, Miss. – The LSU women’s tennis team (8-9; 1-6 SEC) will take on Mississippi State University (6-9; 0-7 SEC) Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.

“Every match in the SEC is tough, and we expect nothing less from Mississippi State,” head coach Julia S. Sell said. “There is a strong possibility of inclement weather, so we need to be flexible tomorrow.”

LSU is coming off a tough 4-2 loss to No. 36 Ole Miss, and Kaitlin Burns and Ella Taylor notched LSU’s two points of the day. Burns scored a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over the Rebels’ No. 37-ranked Caroline Rohde-Moe in the top spot, and Taylor tallied a 6-3, 6-1 victory against Ole Miss’ No. 66 Mai El Kamash on court three.

The Lady Tigers hold a 26-9 advantage over the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
