BATON ROUGE - LSU softball's Allison Falcon and Katie Guillory along with swimming and diving's Kaelee Mader spent time earlier this week reading to elementary age children at the Redemptorist School's Literacy Week.
"The kids were amazing, and I enjoyed reading to them," Falcon said. "We are so lucky to have the chance to go out and interact with younger people in the community."
"The kids really enjoyed the animated dog noises I made when I read them a book about hound dogs," Guillory said. "It's always a heartwarming feeling knowing you can put a smile on little kid's face."
Earlier this month, Mader and three other LSU student-athletes participated in the Read Across America and Read Across Louisiana events.
